brand new accident involving a motorcycle westbound 580 as north flynn with a lane blocked. there is slow traffic eastbound direction. we have construction westbound side with traffic building. we are under half an hour from tracy to dublin highway 4 and 101 which is clear. this is a look at the golden gate bridge from marin county to san francisco, not a problem. >> leyla gulen, thank you. election 2013 is over and bay area voters have spoken on gun restriction, new development and sale taxes. katie marzullo is in the newsroom with results from key local issues. katie? >> we start in sunnyvale. a lawsuit could be brewing with the toughest gun laws in the country will become law january 1. measure c passed with more than 66 percent of the vote. it only needed a simple majority. the mayor of sunnyvale is pleased. he says this sends a message the

gun owners can not own magazines more than ten rounds. they is to lock arm firearms in their home. they have to report thefts. gun dealers have to keep a log all ammunition sales. the n.r.a. and others who oppose the law have threatened to sue. there are two big measures in the ballot in san francisco, 62 percent of voters do not want a high-rise condominium complex built at embarcadero and washington. measure c is hand in happened with that and failed 67 percent of voters voted "no." it would increase height limits for any structure built there. to the east bay and a sales tax increase in antioch. voters passed measure c with 68 percent of the vote so the sales tax goes up half a cent for seven years. the city estimates it will bring in $4 million a year which will pay for 22 new police officers and help with the dire financial

situation. voters in marin the approved nine of ten measures. the only failure was a bond measure for improvements in the strawberry recreation district. >> national races here include chris christie won re-election in new jersey. in a race that sets him up for a presidential bid in 2016. democrat mcauliffe won the hotly contested virginia governor's race narrowly beating a tea party-backed favorite and the first democrat in two decades is elected mayor of new york city. the local election results will crawl across the bottom of the extreme during the newscast. >> a 16-year-old boy is under arrest after police say he lit another teen on fire on an a.c. transit bus. the 18-year-old is being treated for second and third second- and third-degree burns. he was sloping when the suspect

driver making a u-turn. the officer was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. an investigation into the crash is underway. police have not said if the driver has been cited. >> a man in his son return to federal court in oakland today and what could be the largest security fraud case in state history. the two will plead guilty in the settlement reached last month. the i-team has been covering the case if two years. they were originally accused of stealing $700 million from hundreds of investors and are pleading guilty to lesser charges of looting limiting participateship and could face ten years in prison. the government told the victims they will not get their money back. >> san jose state students signing up for spring semester classes are learning they have fewer to choose from. the university is cutting back on the number of classes it is offered to keep the budget in balance. one prefer was toll last

>> she was a wonderful, wonderful person. we will miss her. >> while her neighbors slept, joy was up at 5:00 a.m. almost every morning running around the willow glenn high school track. the only thing that surpassed her physical and mental ability was her kindness. she always picked up everyone's papers on the driveways and brought them to our front door. >> she was so good to everyone, so thoughtful. very, very thoughtful. >> she was a great cook, she baked bread to us. there isn't anything she didn't do. >> the running world praised her for going the distance. i didn't johnson's neighbors say she took her compassion toward others a lot farther. in san jose for abc7 news. >> the 49er season is not close to being over but candlestick part is being sold off. season ticket holders get first dibs at buying old seats.

and the coolest at half moon bay at 39. this is from the east bay hills the air is still very clear from emeryville over to san francisco. we will have the high clouds increasing during the afternoon hours and still a nice warm offshore wind. tomorrow, that reverses and the sea breeze comes in, the cooling trend begins, and it will push through the weekend and it will remain dry but it is looking like wet weather for veterans day on monday. a couple of areas of high pressure dominating our weather and we have the storm track to our north but there is a storm close enough you can see it is overriding this area of high pressure. it ought to make for a beautiful sunrise and sunset and, possibly, see some sun dogs later as the sun is setting which would be neat. mid-to-upper 70's to the south bay today. 77 in gilroy is the warm spot and hose is 74. the cool spot is santa cruz at

one more sign that winter is around the corner, two popular ice skating rinks open today for the holiday season at union square and embarcadero. skating kicks off at 10:00 this morning. both risks remain open through january. >> there is a hearing to look into delays in unemployment benefits caused by computer system upgrate. this meets at 11:00 to examine why the september upgrit project left thousands of workers without the benefit check. the committee will look into other inefficiencies into the system and they want to know software issues, backlogs and massive cost overruns impacted by the state budget. >> starbuck has a new initiative to help veterans. they say they plan to hire 10,000 veterans and military spouses over the next five
